Randy Griffith

Randy joined Electra.aero as Director of Certification from Aerion Supersonic where he was the VP of Airworthiness & Certification managing Type Certification of the AS2 Supersonic Business Jet.  Randy has over 30-years of aerospace engineering experience on a diverse range of aircraft and technologies, spending his last 20-years managing Certification of a variety of diverse, new aircraft primarily at new/start-up companies.

In addition to the AS2, he's managed the Eclipse Model 500 Very Light Jet, Honda Aircraft Model HA-420 "HondaJet" business jet, Mooney Model M10 diesel trainer, and Zunum Aero hybrid-to electric aircraft (and also engine certification of the Zunum Electric Propulsion System) Type Certification projects.  Randy has also supported Production Certification activities for new companies; managed the Eclipse Aviation ODAR; held DER tickets for Powerplant Installation, Mechanical Systems, and Management; and had positions at the FAA Small Airplane Directorate and Wichita ACO.

Randy has a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida.
