Yannick Bonnaire started his career in 1988 at Dassault Electronique. In 1996, he moved to Thales where he held responsibilities in Production, then Business Development, before being appointed as head of an engineering department. In 2003, Yannick joined the Safran group at Hispano-Suiza as CTO of the Electrical Division in charge of the Engine Control Units (FADECs). He launched the More Electrical Aircraft initiative. He was appointed Safran Director of Leadership in 2013 and piloted the launch of the group Campus within the Corporate Human Resources Department. In 2016 he was promoted as EVP Quality, Transformation, Compliance & Ethics of Safran Landing Systems, and managed a global team on 25 sites. In 2022 he became Group SVP Innovation and President of Safran Corporate Ventures, in charge of the strategic innovation roadmaps for Safran.

Yannick has an engineering degree from ENSEA in electronics and earns a PhD in MicrowaveSystems from the Lille University. He is a private pilot and is involved in several boards of director.
